Step 2: Send E-mail to BlackBerry Smartphone and
Install the Documents To Go Files Application
If you
have not already installed the Documents To Go Files application on your
BlackBerry smartphone,
please type in your BlackBerry e-mail address
and click send. An e-mail will be sent that includes a link to download
your installer.
Once both programs are downloaded and installed, please follow the
instructions on how to pair your BlackBerry with your Windows computer.
I particularly like Office's bright interface. All of the
options are clearly labeled, and you can easily scroll through the menus
using the BlackBerry controls. Creating new Word documents and Excel
spreadsheets is a snap, though typing on the small keyboard and peering
at a dense document on the small screen can be a strain.
I was able to open spreadsheets and PDFs created on a desktop computer, and they all retained their formatting. Viewing the entire documents required some extensive scrolling, but that's to be expected when you're using a smartphone.
